BSW Group enters joint venture with Power Sheds
BSW Group has entered a joint venture with Power Sheds, a major disruptor in the sector since launching in 2019, and with a turnover in excess of £15m.
BSW Timber’s Electrical Supervisor, Stuart Matheson takes home the Career Development Award at the TTJ Awards 2021.
Stuart first joined BSW’s Fort-William mill as an Electrical Engineering apprentice in 2015, where he studied with Inverness College UHI which involved mentoring as well as hands on experience in the mill.
Upon completing his HNC, Stuart has utilised his knowledge to develop his career to become an electrical supervisor for Fort-William’s engineering team.
Tony Lockey says: “Stuart’s enthusiasm is unchallenged; he actively shows his desire to progress and learn skills beyond his job role to further his career.
“He is a real team player and an inspiration to the other apprentices.”
Stuart attended the TTJ Awards in London on the 17th of September, where he was announced as the winner of the under 25 Career Development Award.
Of his win, Stuart said, “I’m delighted to receive the award. I’m lucky to work amongst a group of very talented people at BSW, which has allowed me to learn and progress more than I could have ever imagined”

BSW Group sponsors the Borders Book Festival in Melrose and, in doing so, raises money for the Future Trees Trust.
