BSW Group supports community and charity with Borders Book Festival sponsorship
BSW Group sponsors the Borders Book Festival in Melrose and, in doing so, raises money for the Future Trees Trust.
Tilhill Forestry will be exhibiting for the first time at Cereals 2016 which is the arable industry’s leading technical event to raise awareness of the ways the company can help farmers make the most of their properties.
Around 25,000 farmers, agronomists and industry professionals are expected to attend Cereals 2016 on 15th and 16th June at Chrishall Grange, Cambridgeshire.
A team from Tilhill Forestry, including Senior Forest Manager Oli Hands, will be on the Tilhill Forestry stand (number 653) to talk to visitors about owning, managing and planting woodland and the grants that are available to farmers to help them achieve this.
Oli Hands explains: “We are delighted to be exhibiting for the first time at this show and connecting with current and potential customers.
“We can advise on every aspect of woodland management including managing for sporting interests like shooting as well as encouraging wildlife. We offer a tailored package depending on the requirements of the client.
“We particularly want to raise awareness that owning trees, from one to a forest, brings responsibility. Landowners and managers have a duty of care to the public to safely maintain the trees on their land. In particular, where trees adjoin roads, public rights of way or other situations where trees could pose a danger to members of the public. Simply holding Public Liability Insurance is no longer sufficient and many insurers are now calling for tree surveys to be undertaken regularly and for any remedial action to be carried out promptly to minimise risk."
Tilhill Forestry offers a comprehensive inspection service and we welcome the opportunity at the Show of explaining this service and our other activities to our visitors.
