FW Mill Manger runs 400 Ben Nevis Treks* for Community Team.
BSW Timber's Fort William Mill Manager has ran the equivalent of 400 Ben Nevis treks to raise money for his local football club.
BSW Timber has donated planter boxes to primary schools in the areas surrounding it’s six sawmills across the UK, continuing its longstanding commitment to supporting local communities.
Pupils and staff at the schools have been encouraged to discover their green fingered talents, and will display the planters in their school grounds. The handmade planters were built with BSW’s easi-timber, easipost 15 and Timeless Timber Brushwood Decking.
The schools involved in the community initiative are Newbridge-on-Wye Church in Wales School, Dalbeattie Primary, Deshar Primary, Banavie Primary, Earlston Primary and Saltoun Primary.
Mrs Daly, Class Teacher at Saltoun Primary School, said: “Donations such as this are always gratefully received at our school. We actively promote nature in our playground and children are all very excited about the prospect of growing their own plants.”
Eve Johnson, marketing manager at BSW Timber commented: “We’re pleased to be able to support local children and schools, and to encourage our communities to take an interest in gardening. The planters provide the perfect opportunity for pupils to discover their green fingers, whilst engaging in hands-on learning about the science behind it all.”

Meet the man behind the mobile: We dragged our Sales Executive Ash away from the festivities to talk all things timber, time machines and Swindon Town.
BSW Group has invested in tailored training courses for staff across its sawmills in Scotland. This training has seen five up-and-coming team leaders awarded with full Chartered Management Institute (CMI) certifications, which will transform how the business and its team operate.
