BSW Timber Boat of Garten Team go Back to School

BSW has demonstrated its commitment to improving the skills of its employees after a group from the Boat of Garten sawmill qualified as trainers and assessors.
Thirteen individuals completed the Level 3 National/Scottish Vocational Qualification suite in Learning & Development, enabling them to train and assess other employees in a variety of tasks and duties around the sawmill.
Each candidate was required to prove their competence by planning and carrying out training and assessment of other staff at work and show they had a sound knowledge of training and assessment best practice.
David Mills BSW’s Mill Manager at the Boat of Garten said: “We have a responsibility to offer our employees the opportunity to improve their skills base. I am sure that those who took part benefited from the training and will provide the same assistance and support to others when required”.
