BSW Support Romanian Orphanage Crew

May 1, 2005

BSW Timber in Newbridge-on-Wye is lending its support to a campaign to build an orphanage in Romania.

The sawmill has donated construction timber worth almost £1000 to the Builth Wells based Rocking For Romania campaign led by former Welsh rugby player Jeremy Pugh.

Calling themselves the "Builth Balkan Crew" the campaign brings together businesses and tradesmen in an ambitious bid to build an orphanage in Medias, Romania.

Paul Davies, internal sales manager for BSW Newbridge says: "When we learnt about what the Builth Balkan Crew wanted to do, we immediately wanted to help.

"Building an orphanage from scratch, in a remote part of Romania some 1500 miles from Wales, is certainly a challenge. We are delighted to be part of the 'Crew' and help out those in need - wherever they are in the world."
