New Log Purchasing and Supply Manager for Carlisle

BSW Timber, the UK's largest sawmilling business, has appointed a new Log Purchaser and Supply Manager for Carlisle.
Harry Stevens (37), who joined BSW on the 9 May, is based at the Carlisle Sawmill. Harry brings over 12 years of forestry, timber and retail sector experience secured at senior management level positions. Most recently, he was Area Manager with Egger Forest Products, where he was responsible for the Company's harvesting, timber marketing and supply management of standing timber to the markets, including the Egger plants at Hexham and Barony.
Harry has previously worked for Euroforest as an Area Manager initially covering South West Scotland, following which he covered South West England, and in his final two years he covered Harvesting and Marketing in the Scottish Borders. Harry entered the
forestry industry after completing his National Diploma in Forestry at Newton Rigg College, Penrith, in 1992.
Speaking about his appointment, Harry says: "Working as part of the woodbuying and forestry team at BSW Timber is an excellent opportunity for me - I will be working to develop relationships with existing and new suppliers and customers, as well as sharing and enhancing my knowledge of the Northern England market base."
