BSW Timber Trebles treatment capacity with Low Pressure Treatment Tank

BSW Timber’s world-class low-pressure treatment tank has been installed at its Boat of Garten mill near Aviemore. The installation will help deal with the increase in demand for the company’s Easi-Edge product which is kiln dried, machined regularised C16 strength graded.
The investment at the Boat of Garten sawmill, which produces around 70,000m3 of sawn timber per year, will allow BSW Timber to continue to supply customers in the Highlands and around the UK with quality construction materials. The tank is 10 metres in length and 1.5 metres in diameter, allowing the mill to produce 15,000 m3 of treated easi-edge ideally suited for the timber frame housebuilding market.
The water based treatment helps protect against rot, decay, insect attack and offers a distinctive Golden Yellow colour preservative timber treatment.

BSW Timber’s low pressure treatment tank is treated in accordance of use class 1 and 2 and is approved by NHBC. The sawmill can process lengths from 3.0 - 4.8 metre lengths.
